PURPOSE:To join simply and better Al alloy member by melting the foil by inserting it between Al alloy members, by decomposing and mixing the oxidized film existing on the joining face in the melt, and pressing and removing the decomposed oxidized film. CONSTITUTION:A Zn-Al foil 3 rapidly cooled from melt is inserted between the joining faces having the oxide films 2, 2 of the members 1, 1 of Al alloy and put into the joining device. After the evacuation of the inside of the device an Ar gas is led in and heated with pressure. At this pressing and heating time, the oxide film is locally destroyed by the difference in the thermal expansion coefficients of the oxide film 2, 2 and member 1, 1 to expose the clean surface. The Zn-Al foil 3 rapidly cooled from melt is then held to the melting temp. without melting the Al alloy member 1, 1 the melt is made on the joining face, the oxide film is mixed therein and removed from the joining face by the pressing.
