PURPOSE:To maintain the supply amount of toner for a long period by specifying the projecting extent and installation angle of an elastic blade. CONSTITUTION:The elastic blade is provided in contact with the peripheral surface of a toner supply roller 47 in the opposite direction from its rotation direction; the projection extent of the elastic blade 48 is set to 8-15mm and its installation angle is set to 8-16 deg. to the tangent to the contact with the peripheral surface of the toner supply roller. The balde 48 is made of urethan which is 2-3mm thick and has 70-80 deg. rubber hardness, and fixed in the opposite direction from the rotating direction of the toner supply roller 47 so that the extent of intrusion due to its elastic force is 0.5-1.0mm. Consequently, the supply amount of toner is held constant for a long period and the mixing ratio of toner and carriers on a developing sleeve is held constant.
