PURPOSE:To improve the fuel consumption by forcibly starting the auxiliary air flow control in feedback mode upon continuation of specific engine rotation with fully closed throttle valve for specific interval. CONSTITUTION:When the engine rotation is lower than specific level, it is decided whether the throttle valve opening thetaTH is fully closed or not in step 3. If the engine rotation Ne is lower than a level NH for starting feedback control to target idle rotation, it will move to step 14. In step 14, duty ratio DOUT for feedback mode control is operated to produce the driving signal of control valve with correspondence to the operated duty ratio DOUT in step 16 thus to perform feedback mode control. Consequently, fuel consumption can be improved.
