PURPOSE:To improve production efficiency by forming the end diameter of pestles smaller than the hole diameter of a mortar and disposing a sliding contact part which can be freely slidably inserted into the mortar hole to the lower pestle. CONSTITUTION:Powder is packed into the hole 2 of the mortar 1 and is subjected to compression molding by the upper and lower pestles 8, 3. The end diameter of the pestles 8, 3 is formed smaller than the diameter of the mortar hole 2 to constitute a compressing part. The sliding contact part 5 to be freely slidably inserted into the mortar hole 2 is disposed below the compressing part of the lower pestle 3 so as to have the diameter slightly smaller than the hole diameter of the mortar. The powder packed into the hole 2 is compression-molded by the compressing part 4 of the upper and lower pestles 8, 3 then the lower pestle 3 is raised after the rise of the upper pestle 8. The sliding contact part 5 of the lower pestle 3 acts to scrape off the unnecessary powder in the mortar hole 2. Since the mortar hole 2 is thereby cleaned, the stop of the molding machine is eliminated and the production efficiency is improved.
