PURPOSE:To make the cooking mode easily understandable by providing a cooking mode key and judging through a microcomputer, the mode to be 'a cooking mode based on temperature' when a temperature probe is set upon pushing the key, and judging the mode to be 'a cooking mode based on time' when the temperature probe is not set. CONSTITUTION:The cooking mode is judged by cooking mode setting means 2 within a microcomputer 3 based on signals from a temperature probe 1 and a cooking key 4 for setting the cooking within a key operating part 204. As a result, the ranges of setting the cooking time or the cooking temperature in accordance with the cooking mode are determined by cooking range setting means 6. Next, when a figure key 5 for setting the cooking within the key operating part 204 is operated, a suitable cooking time or temperature is input to the microcomputer 3, and whether it is the setting within the range of capable of cooking or not is judged by cooking set value judging means 7 in combination with data from cooking range setting means 6. If it is in the cookable range, control means 9 operates a load control relay 11 intermittently based on a signal from a start key 8, a magnetron 12 oscillates and food-stuff to be heated is heated.
