PURPOSE:To enhance the degree of freedom in design by configurating a device in such a way that at least the surface of both a mirror housing and a base which supports the said housing rotatably, is made of a softmaterial so as to allow the mirror housing to rotate toward the front side of a car. CONSTITUTION:A door mirror 1 is supported in such a way that the base end 4 of a housing 3 which supports a mirror 2 rotatably, is supported on a base 6 installed on a door 5, rotatably around the vertical axis. In this case, both the housing 3 and the base 6 are integrally formed from a soft material such synthetic resin as, for example, soft rubber or urethane and the like. The housing 3 normally projects outward from the side end 12 of a car, when an outside force acts on the housing 3 from the rear side of the car, both a round corner 6a of the base 6 and the housing 3 deflect each other, and the housing 3 is capable of falling sideways toward the front side of the car too. Thus, this configuration is capable of enhancing the degree of freedom in design of the housing 3.
