PURPOSE:To enable a paper to be brought into close contact with a platen and enhance printing accuracy of a printer, by energizing the paper to the platen side by rollers on opposite sides of a printing mechanism on a carrier. CONSTITUTION:The rollers 14, 15 are disposed on the opposite sides of the printing mechanism 11 along the axial direction of the platen 6, and are rotatably supported by arms 16, which are disposed perpendicularly to the axial direction of the platen 6 and are oscillatably supported on a carrier 7 through shafts 17a, 17b, respectively. An iron piece 18 is attached to each of the arms 16 at an end part opposite to the roller 14, 15 side, and an electromagnet 19 is provided at a position corresponding to the iron piece 18. When a power source for a daisy printer 1 is thrown in, the iron pieces 18 are attacted by the electromagnets 19, resulting in that the rollers 14a, 14b, 15a, 15b press the paper 13 against the platen 6.
