PURPOSE:To realize a high speed movement without being influenced by an outside vibration, etc. by dividing an optical image into m-number of belts in a longitudinal direction, chopping the optical image by every belt with different periods and applying Fourier transform on the output of an array sensor. CONSTITUTION:The image of an object A is formed on a screen B by an image forming device 3 and an endless band 1 runs along with the screen. The image of the A is divided into m-number of lines and n-number of rows of picture elements and the image on the end surface of an optical fiber flux row on the surface D of an optical fiber 5 is formed on a linear array sensor S by an image forming device 6. A signal read out from the array sensor S is stored at a memory M through a multiplexer 7, a pre-amplifier 8 and an A/D converter 9. After the storing of data to the memory M is completed, the data at the memory M is read out in order from an area 1 and the Fourier transform is applied on the data by every area at a Fourier transformer 10 and the result is stored at each area of 11-1m of the memory M and with reading out the data in order and displaying it on a CRT, an original image is reproduced.
