PURPOSE:To constitute the titled apparatus in which an impurity is transferred easily from a liquid metal free surface to a cover gas space part, by embedding heating apparatus at a lower part of a gas supplying and exhausting structural body in vessel main body facing a free liquid level of liquid metal in vessel main body among said structural bodies. CONSTITUTION:Baffles 6 provided vertically from a bottom plate part of an inner cylinder 15 are positioned under the free liquid level of liquid metal (e.g. molten Na), to form zigzag blow gas passage between the previously described bottom plate part and free liquid level. Blow gas is allowed to flow as a blow gas inlet pipe 5 a blow gas passage an exit pipe 3, on the other hand, the pipe 5 and bottom plate part of the cylinder 15 are heated 8, to raise temp. of blow gas higher than that of a liquid metal 1, and the generation of mist of the metal 1 playing a role for transferring H2 is prevented. In this case, since the height of blow gas passage formed between bottom plate part of the cylinder 15 and free liquid level of the metal 1 is low, the staying time of blow gas is short, and the gas dilution at a cover gas space part 2 is facilitated. Concequently the transfer of H2 being impurity from the metal 1 to blow gas is facilitated.
