PURPOSE:To conveniently, easily and efficiently produce ceramic fine powder of uniform and extremely fine particles of a metallic of semimetallic oxide by oxidizing and decomposing a liq. droplet cong. the org. compd. of a metal or a semimetal by combustion. CONSTITUTION:A liq, droplet contg. at least one kind of an org. compd. of a metal or semimetal and mixed, if necessary, with a combustion improver such as alcohols and hydrocarbons is burned in an atmosphere at a temp. ranging from ordinary temp. to 250 deg.C. The liq. droplet is preferably formed by using an ultrasonic injection valve and the droplet having uniform particle diameter can be controllably formed i desired size. An alkoxide compd. or an acetylacetonato compd. is preferably used as the org. compd. Consequently, the fine powder of a metallic or semimetallic oxide having excellent uniformity can be obtained with good operability.
