In a videotex subscriber station, input information must be entered manually via keys of a videotex keyboard in order to set up a videotex link. In the invention, the individual input information is stored in separate memories which can be read out by actuating a switch into the decoder. The switches can be actuated automatically by a dial-up device which is activated by an external signal, for example the alarm signal of an alarm system. When the external signal occurs, a videotex link can thus be set up completely automatically in order to signal, for example, an intrusion in a receiving station.
