PURPOSE:To improve the light fastness of a dye, by forming a complex of the dye and a substance containing a nucleic acid base. CONSTITUTION:A dye 1, preferably methylene blue and a substance containing a nucleic acid base 2, preferably deoxyribonucleic acid or caffeine are dissolved in a solvent, e.g. water, and the resultant solution is dried to form a complex 3 of the dye 1 and the substance containing the nucleic acid base 2.
