PURPOSE:To simplify the circuit constitution by holding the upper two bits of the ROM output by a latch circuit for the time of a single time slot and then supplying them to the upper two bits of the ROM address. CONSTITUTION:The upper two bits M0 and M1 of the output of a ROM 1 are held by a latch circuit for the time of a single time slot and then supplied to the upper two bits M0 and M1 of the address of the ROM 1. Thus the ROM 1 itself produces the information that designates the stat set before the change of the next state. This can omit a complicated logic circuit that is used to change a transmission waveform so that the conditions are satisfied for shift of the phase continuous state. Thus the circuit constitution is simplified as a whole.
