METHOD FOR CHANGING NUMBER OF PLATING SECTION OF ELECTROGALVANIZING INSTALLATION FOR PLURAL-LAYER PLATING

PURPOSE:To easily change the number of plating sections to the number conforming to the number of plating layers by alternating plating cells and rinse cells in a plating line whether for single-layer plating or multi-layer plating. CONSTITUTION:A steel strip S is passed through an electrolytic cleaning tank 1 and a pickling tank 2 and electroplating lines 21-27 to a chemical conversion tank 5. The outlet side rinse cell 27 of the final moving type electroplating cell 26 is used and thereafter the adequate number of the electroplating cells is used according to the coating weight if the plating condition is for the single layer. The rinse cell 20 installed offline is replaced into the intermediate moving type electroplating cell 24 of the plating line at another point in addition to the rinse cell 27 if the plating condition is for the two layers. The electroplating cells 21-23 are constituted as the 1st plating section A and the electroplating cells 25, 26 are constituted as the 2nd plating section B.
