PURPOSE:To make it possible to process a long length napkin, by changing the position of a tension bar which is journalled to a frame arranged in the upper section of a napkin processing machine, so that cloth conveying vehicles may be located within a swinging range of the tension bar. CONSTITUTION:A long length napkin 9 is continuously stored in two cloth conveying vehicles 10a, 10b for continuously processing the napkin 9. A support mechanism 6 composed of a main sprocket 4a driven by a motor 3, a driven sprocket 4b and a chain 5 wound on both sprockets is arranged on a frame 2 which is formed in the upper section of a napkin processing machine, and sensors S1, S2 are provided above the cloth conveying vehicles 10a, 10b at a positions above a tension bar 8. When the tension bar 8 is swung exceeding a predetermined angle theta by means of the napkin 9, a pin 7 on the tension bar 8 is shifted from positions above the vehicle 10a to a position above the vehicle 10b or vice versa. Thereby, the cloth conveying vehicles are automatically changed over, thereby it is possible to continuously process the long length napkin.
