PURPOSE:To decide on the discrete number, by providing a weight range corresponding to the discrete number of objects to be measured according to the weight deviation of a single body to be measured to compare the weight range with the weight value of the object being weighed. CONSTITUTION:Reference value setters 110-11m has the average single body weight W0, a standard deviation sigma0 and a coefficient alpha (>=3) are determined to set reference values of the weight for the discrete number. When objects to be weighed are grouped and arranged on a weighing tray 1, the weight W thereof is weighted with a weighing device 2 and to be inputted into a comparator 14. Then, switches 120-12m and 130-13m are synchronously turned ON and reference values of reference value setter are inputted into the comparator 14 and the discrete number is outputted to a switch 15 side. The comparator 14 compares the weighed values W with reference values sequentially and when a certain reference value reaches the weighed value W. By an output of the comparator 14, a switch 15 is turned ON. It is input to a discrete number memory circuit 20 and the discrete number N is stored. Therefore, the discrete number of the objects to be weighed on a weighing tray 1 is determined to be the discrete number N.
