<p>The assembly comprises a safety device consisting of a cylindrical gate valve 6 located between the inlet scroll 1 and the turbine wheel 4. The gate valve 6 is controlled by a system comprising a rod 7, linkages 8, a shaft 9 and levers 91, 92, one of which is connected to a counterweight 10 which causes closing of the gate valve in the event of a loss of oil pressure in a jack 11 connected to the other lever for maintaining the gate valve open. The control system may alternatively cause the gate valve to close in the event of a drop in the electrical voltage of the mains, the jack 11 being supplied with oil by a pump which is electrically driven from the mains. <IMAGE></p> |
