PURPOSE:To make it possible to perform spark discharge at a normal position without mis-discharging even when a large amount of boiling-over falls by providing a flange that has a large diameter recessed section on its lower face between porcelain insulators. CONSTITUTION:A procelain insulator through which a core wire 2 pierces is provided with an umbrella shaped flange 10z at its central portion, and at the lower face of the insulator 10 a recessed section 10b which also works as a spring seat for a compression coil spring 5 of cone shape. When a large amount of boiling-over falls as shown by the arrow mark A, part of the boiling-over is stored in a boiling-over receiving pan 7(b), but the boiling-over liquid which fell over the ignition plug follows the outer circumferential face of the porcelain insulator 10 (E), and flows through the gap among the porcelain insulator 10, the burner main body 8 and the boiling-over liquid receiving pan 7 and invades into the section below the boiling-over liquid receiving pan 7. The boiling-over liquid that has invaded drips down on the surface of a flange 10a of umbrella shape and stays on the surface of a base plate 6 (F). Boiling-over liquid does not follow down to the lower end of the procelain insulator even if it is in a large amount, and there is thereby no mis-discharge and the discharges occur at a proper position.
