PURPOSE:To obtain a foam sheet of excellent dimensional stability and improved sound insulation and sound absorption, by applying a mixture formed by adding molten asphalt, a catalyst and a silicone to a polyurethane prepolymer to a releasable base and applying steam thereto. CONSTITUTION:A mixture is formed by adding 30-400pts.wt. molten asphalt, a suitable amount of a catalyst nd a silicone oil to 100pts.wt. polyurethane prepolymer. This mixture is applied to a releasable base and is cured by application of steam to obtain the purpose asphalt foam sheet. When the amount of the asphalt added is smaller than 30pts.wt., per 100pts.wt. urethane prepolymer, the desired property can not be attained, while when it is larger than 400pts.wt., curing is slow. Therefore, neither is desirable.
