PURPOSE:To keep a stable contact state between a magnetic head and a recording disk by pressing a flexible recording disk against a reference plane by means of a pressure member. CONSTITUTION:A recording disk 2 containing magnetic materials on both sides of a 'Mylar(R)' sheet is enclosed into a nonflexible cassette housing 1 for production of a recording medium 22. Then the medium 22 is guided by a groove 23 for support of the housing 1 and set and therefore both magnetic heads 7 and 8 are in contact with the disk 2. Then a pressure member 14 presses the disk 2 against both reference plane 16 and 13 by means of the force of a spring 15. Thus the disk 2 passes through an area between a reference plane 4 and the member 14 and is guided to an area between both heads 7 and 8. Thus the disk 2 is rotated stably at the areas near both heads 7 and 8 and therefore the stable contact is secured between both heads 7 and 8 and the disk 2. As a result, information of high density can be recorded.
