PURPOSE:To attain proper gate operation even to a high frequency signal by connecting a diode conducted when a voltage of an ECL level or over is fed to the diode to a prescribed input terminal of an ECL and using the conduction/ nonconduction of the diode so as to stop or operate the amplification function to other input signal to the ECL. CONSTITUTION:When an ECL level signal is inputted to an input terminal I2 and a voltage of 5V is inputted to an input terminal I1, a diode 2 is conducted and an H level signal is outputted from an output terminal O1 as shown in figure (c) by the limiter operation of an ECL-IC 1 and an L level signal is outputted from an output terminal O2 as shown in figure (d). In applying a voltage of 0V to the input terminal I1, the diode 2 is reverse-biased and nonconductive, the amplification operation of the ECL-IC 1 is resumed and a signal fed to the input terminal I2 is outputted from the output terminal O2. An analog gate is constituted by using the ECL-IC 1 in this way, and since the ECL is high in the operation known widely, no crosstalk is caused even at high frequencies.
