PURPOSE:To simplify a manipulation and to reduce the nuisance caused by dust and noise, by fixing a spike shoe which is moved to a working position and housing position by means of a radially provided rod, on the outside of a wheel rim, thereby controlling the rod. CONSTITUTION:When a spike device 1 is used, a nut 17 is loosened, a rod 3 is advanced by a screw 12, thus a spike shoe 5 is moved outward, and a spike 14 is projected from the outside diameter of a tire so that the outside diameter of the spike shoe is formed to be in the shape of a circle. When the spike device 1 is not used, the nut 17 is fastened so that the spike shoe 5 is moved inwardly resulting in being housed. With this arrangement, it is possible to make a spike entrance and exit by a one-touch so as to simplify a manipulation.
