PURPOSE:To engage a pin with a screw shaft which is rotated by a motor securely with each other by molding an elastic piece which clamps the screw shaft integrally with a carriage molded out of synthetic resin together with the pin. CONSTITUTION:A frame 4 is superposed under a substrate 1. The screw shaft 8 is supported freely rotatably between support frames 4a and 4b of the frame 4, a motor 9 is fixed outside the frame 4a, and the output shaft of the motor 9 is coupled with the screw shaft 8. A head assembly 10 is mounted on the carriage 11, which is guided by a guide shaft 12. The elastic piece 11c is projected under the flank of the carriage 11 on the side of the screw shaft 8 in contact with the lower side of the screw shaft 8 so that the shaft 8 is clamped together with the pin 13. The elastic piece 11c is molded integrally when the carriage is molded out of synthetic resin. When the motor 9 is rotated, the screw shaft 8 rotates to move the carriage 11 through the pin 13. At this time, the engagement of the pin 13 with the screw groove 8a of the screw shaft 8 is maintained securely.
