PURPOSE:To eliminate the change of a magnetic gap due to the change of a magnetic depth by line-contacting and forming a thin film sticking groove and a junction groove in the depth direction of the magnetic gap, further, forming the thin film sticking groove only near the magnetic tape sliding connecting surface side of a half core and junctioning directly half cores in the butting surface of the rear part of the half core. CONSTITUTION:At a butting surface 22 of a pair of flat plate-shaped half core blocks 21, a junction groove 15 with the constant depth and width is formed at the constant interval from a magnetic tape sliding connecting surface 19 side. Next, after a glass 16 is welded and charged at the junction groove 15, a thin film sticking groove 13 composed of a V groove is formed in the line contacting condition at one side of the junction groove 15. Next, at the surface as a whole of a butting surface 18 and the junction groove 15 including the glass 16, a metallic magnetic thin film 14 is stuck and formed, thereafter, the butting surface 18 is ground and the metallic magnetic thin film 14 of the part except the junction groove 15 is removed. Thereafter, for a pair of half core blocks 21, a gap forming material is interposed between the surfaces, the edge surfaces themselves of the metallic magnetic thin film 14 are matched, heating is executed up to the temperature in which the glass 16 is melted and softened and both are junctioned.
