PURPOSE:To improve the quality of a product by rotating a casting mold formed with a hollow part for a cam shaft at a high speed, pouring a molten metal into the hollow part to form a solidified metallic layer and repeating such operation to form double-layered structure. CONSTITUTION:The hollow part 2 constituted of journal parts 3, cam lobe parts 4 and a shaft part 5 is provided to the casting mold 1 for centrifugal casting. While the casting mold 1 is rotated at a high speed, the molten metal 8 subjected to adjustment is poured into the mold and the 1st layer A in the state of sticking to each outside wall surface via centrifugal force is solidified by cooling. The other molten metal is poured in the same manner into the resulted space part 15 to form the 2nd layer B. Since the respective layers A, B are formed via the centrifugal force by the high-speed rotation, the defective joining between the layers is eliminated and sound casting is obtd. The quality of the product is thus improved by the above-mentioned method.
