PURPOSE:To make it possible to enhance contamination preventing effect by efficiently and perfectly performing coating work of a long sized article, by a method wherein the long sized article is inserted from an inlet guide part and a film is drawn out from left and right film rolls and the long sized article is drawn out from an outlet guide roll so as to be wrapped from both sides. CONSTITUTION:An inlet guide part 3, a coating part 4 and an outlet guide roll 5 are mounted and the inlet guide part 3 is constituted of grooved rolls 6a, 6b and a press roller 7 energized downwardly by a spring 8. The coating part 4 is equipped with a pair of left and right film applicator rolls 15 which are provided in order to guide the film 12 delivered from a film roll 13 parallel to both sides of a long sized article 2 and of which the support shafts are energized to the direction approaching each other. Under these rollers 15, a pair of adhering rolls 21, which are provided in order to mutually adhere the adhesives provided to the upper and lower edge parts of a pair of left and right films and of which the support shafts are energized to the direction approaching each other, are mounted. The long sized article is introduced from the inlet guide part 3 and the end of the long sized article is pulled out while the upper and lower adhesives of a pair of the left and right sheet- like films are mutually adhered to make it possible to continuously coat the long sized article.
