PURPOSE:To attain to prevent recording omission due to recording impossibility or the mechanical damage of a pen driving part and a recording pen, by alarming a recording signal equal to or exceeding a range capable of being recorded in a movable range detection part on a display part. CONSTITUTION:In such a case that the gain state of a gain change-over part 2 is set to a contact part (a), when a recording signal E1 is inputted to an amplifying circuit 1, the output of the amplifying circuit 1 comes to E2. Information E3 of a range capable of being recorded from the gain change-over part 2 is compared with the output E2 of the amplifying circuit in the comparing circuit 8 of a movable range detection part 7. In the case of E2>E3, E4 is outputted from the comparing circuit 8 and inputted to a display part 9 to perform the display of recording impossibility.
