PURPOSE:To reenact a state in which a restarted playing operation by the re-supplying of a power source follows a play before an interruption by moving a pickup setting a bit of position information set in the supplying time of the power source as an objected position. CONSTITUTION:When a power source switch 13 is turned on, a bit of information regarding the position of a music is detected, and when a bit of detected position information is the one other than a bit of read-in area information or a bit of read-out area information, the bit of position information is recorded on a memory 9, and a pickup 1 is moved to the innermost circumference. The bit of position information regarding the music recorded on a disk recorded at the read-in area is read, then being stored on the memory 9. Next, the pickup 1 is moved to an objected position (OT), and a driving circuit 12 is operated, and the state of a play start or a play wait is generated. When the power source is supplied and the pickup 1 is positioned at the read-in or the read-out area in a step C, the pickup 1 advances to the position of the first music.
