PURPOSE:To restore only the record that is under replacement to tis original state in case the replacement of a file is finished abnormally by a work program, by storing the records to be replaced into a journal file for each record. CONSTITUTION:In a file replacement mode a processor 11 uses an OPEN request module M1 set to the corresponding work program and registers the information on the work program to the control record in a JN (journal) file 14. When the processing is through with all transaction records, the processor 11 cancels the information on the corresponding work program out of the control record of the JN file 14. Thus the processor 11 uses the record to be replaced and stored in the file 14 to restore the file of the records to be replaced in case the work program is finished abnormally by some fault.
