摘要 PURPOSE:To make a lead for giving voltage to a G5 electrode unnecessary to be installed at the lateral side of a glass tube wall as well as to simplify an image pickup tube assembly structure, by forming G3 and G4 electrodes, the G5 electrode and a part of a meshy G6 electrode into a double cylindrical glass tube structure. CONSTITUTION:A glass tube 6 is situated at the inside of a glass tube 1, and each pattern of electrodes G3 and G4 is formed at the inside of this glass tube 6. In addition, an electrode G5 and a part of an electrode G6 is formed in an inner wall of the glass tube 1. The glass tube 6 is insulated from an electrode G2 and locked to this electrode G2 by bead glass 7. The other end of a conductor spring 12 whose one end is connected to a stem pin (unillustrated herein) is made contact with the said electrode G5, and it is designed so as to give the specified voltage to this electrode 5. And, the meshy electrode G6 comes into contact with an indium ring 5, and it is given the specified voltage via this indium spring 5. Thus, feed of voltage to the electrode G5 from the lateral side of the glass tube wall is no longer required and, what is more, problems from the standpoint of operation, airtightness and strength are not entailed there at all.
