PURPOSE:To prevent an excessive fuel supply due to the fluctuation of the predetermined number of engine revolutions by controlling a governor according to the time of electric current application corresponding to a fluctuation detected in said engine revolutions, and stopping an electric current supply to an electric governor drive device when output engine revolutions have reached the predetermined level. CONSTITUTION:The subject device has a fluctuation detecting means 'f' for detecting the fluctuation of the predetermined number of engine revolutions set on an engine speed setting means 'g' and when there is any fluctuation detected, an electric current application time calculation means 'h' calculates current application time necessary for realizing the predetermined number of engine revolutions after the fluctuation. And according to the current application time, a governor 'd' is controlled by an electric drive device 'e' via an electric current interrupting means 'i', thereby deciding the fuel feed quantity of a fuel injection pump 'c'. On the other hand, the speed of an engine 'a' is detected by an achievement judgement means 'j' and when said speed has become equal to the predetermined number of revolutions, an electric current stop means 'k' is operated, and causes the interrupting means 'i' to stop supplying an electric current to the electric drive device 'e', thereby alleviating the sudden excessive supply of fuel and enabling the complete combustion thereof.
