PURPOSE:To uniformly compact rubble mound without affected by uneven surface by a method in which may independent blocks are gathered in a vertically movable manner to form a weight, and the weight is dropped onto the rubble mount. CONSTITUTION:Many blocks 1 are gathered and connected with universal joints 2 in a vertically movable manner to form a weight device, and is hung down from a crane ship, etc., by a rope 3. The weight device is slowly lowered to a rubble mound 4 to compact the rubble 4 only by the weight of the blocks 1. Since each piece of the blocks 1 can be freely moved upwards, uniform compacting of the rubble mound 4 can be attained without influence of uneven surface of the rubble 4.
