PURPOSE:To prevent a filler cap from being lost and to make the tightening of the cap not to be obstructed by connecting the cap via a string member to the vicinity of a fuel tank inlet and arranging the string member to be retracted when the cap is fitted. CONSTITUTION:A filler cap 2 is attached to a body 3 near a fuel tank inlet 1 by arranging an engage-stop member 9c at one end of a connection string member 9 and by passing the engage-stop member 9c through a through hole 15 bored in an attachment member 7. When the cap 2 is fitted into a fuel tank inlet 1, a main part of the connection member 9 is pushed and retracted through a through hole 15 in the inside of a body 3. With this constitution, the connection string member 9 does not stand in the way when fitting the cap 2 to the fuel tank inlet 1 so that the cap is fitted easily. Also, since the cap 2 is connected to the body 3 near the fuel tank inlet 1, and is not removed from the body, the cap 2 cannot be forgotten to be fitted or cannot be lost.
