PURPOSE:To improve the characteristic of a generator by coupling a magnetic unit with the direction correspondence portion of a nonmagnetic unit by diffusion bonding by hot hydrostatic pressure to constantly form the width of the bonded portion. CONSTITUTION:A generator has a stator 1 and a rotor 2, the rotor 2 is formed of a permanent magnet 3, poles 4, a hub 5 and a shaft 6, and a shrinkable ring 7 is shrink-fitted to the magnet 3 and the poles 4 of the rotor 2. The ring 7 is annularly coupled by disposing alternately a magnetic unit 8 and a nonmagnetic unit 9 circumferentially. The bonded portions 10 are bonded by diffusing by hot hydrostatic pressure. Thus, the magnet 3 placed in the rotor 2 is held by the ring 7 covered on the magnet, and the portion 10 by the bonding is effectively magnetically separated.
