发明名称 ALUMINUM ALLOY FOR COLD FORGING
摘要 PURPOSE:To improve wear resistance, machinability, cold forgeability, etc., by limiting Mn content in particular in an Al alloy containing specific amounts of Cu, Mg, Si, Mn, and Fe. CONSTITUTION:The alloy has a composition consisting of, by weight ratio, 2-5% Cu, 0.5-2% Mg, 2-7% Si, <=0.1% Mn, <=0.3% Fe, and the balance Al and containing, if necessary, <=0.01% ZR and/or <=0.2% Ti. As Mn content is limited in this composition, occurrence of defects caused by the breakage of coarse grain boundary precipitates of Al-Si-Mn type can be prevented. On application of this Al alloy for cold forging to rotary drums for video tape recorder, etc., or fixed drums, resistance to wear by magnetic tapes can be improved. Further, when Si content is regulated to <=2% in the above composition, the priority of cold forgeability can be maintained.
