The invention relates to the field of non-ferrous metallurgy, and may be used for producing an aluminum-scandium ligature under industrial manufacturing conditions. A method for producing an aluminum-scandium ligature includes preparing and melting a mixture containing aluminum fluorides, sodium fluorides and aluminum, inputting scandium oxide, aluminothermically recovering scandium from the oxide thereof, producing the aluminum-scandium ligature, and unloading same. Prior to melting the mixture, potassium fluoride is added to said mixture, while simultaneously conducting the aluminothermic recovery of scandium and the electrolytic decomposition of alumina formed during the aluminothermic reaction; the scandium oxide is fed continuously into the melt, maintaining the level of scandium oxide at a level allowing for a set content of scandium in the produced ligature, and, after the ligature is unloaded, aluminum is added to the melt. The proposed method allows for producing an aluminum-scandium ligature at decreased temperatures (800-850°C), simplifies the process and allows for reduced energy consumption. |
