The present invention provides an image processing device, an image capturing apparatus, an image processing method and an image processing program which are capable of satisfactorily performing point image restoration processing on a near-infrared light image captured in the time zone of dusk or dawn. In an aspect of the present invention, in a case where IR data of a near-infrared light image is data in which a visible light component and a near-infrared light component are mixed, point image restoration processing is performed on the IR data using a first point image restoration filter based on a first point spread function for visible light of an optical system and a second point image restoration filter based on a second point spread function for near-infrared light of the optical system. When this point image restoration processing is performed, according to the light amount ratio between the visible light and the near-infrared light when the IR data is captured, the point image restoration processing using the first point image restoration filter and the point image restoration processing using the second point image restoration filter are subjected to weighted averaging by a first gain α and a second gain β, and consequently appropriate point image restoration processing is performed on the IR data captured in the time zone of dusk or dawn.
