PURPOSE:To simultaneously avoid shifting of print line due to insufficient transport force and transfer in case of using a copy slip by providing the second paper sheet transport means concerned only in transporting a paper sheet of a specified thickness. CONSTITUTION:When a medium is a passbook, pressure rollers 18-21 are used for transport rollers 12-15. The pressure rollers 18, 21 are pressure rollers having large pressing force, which are used specially for transporting a passbook and the pressure rollers 19, 20 are used for transporting both a slip and a passbook. In case of holding a passbook, the rollers 19, 20 have holding power substantially equal to that of the pressure rollers 18, 20, so that the passbook 24 is transported by four sets of paired transport rollers having large holding power and transport force to accomplish an improvement in print position accuracy. In case of holding a slip 25, the pressure rollers 19, 20, 22, 23 are used, and the rollers 18, 21 having large pressing force are not used. Accordingly, contamination due to pressing will not occur.
