PURPOSE:To adjust a lifting level simply according to size of a can body, by attaching an upper end of a trough type member conveying the can body tightly to a ceiling of a building, while installing the trough type member, free of replacement, in an intermediate part of the height, and supporting the lower end free of lifting motion. CONSTITUTION:A trough type part 1 conveying a can body W is formed with a vertical straight pipe part 40c and upper and lower circular parts 40a and 40b. The upper circular part 40a is tightly attached to a ceiling of a building via a support block 29. The lower circular part 40b is locked to a floor with a frame 14, a jack 12 and a guide rod 13. A trough type part piece 7, free of replacement, is tightly attached to an intermediate part of the straight pipe part 40c with a clamping device 8. The trough type part piece is changed and height H is adjusted according to that of the can body W, then the jack 12 is locked. An endless chain 2 is circulated along a guide rail 3 and a back rail 3a, and the can body W is conveyed from a lower stage conveyor 21 to an upper stage conveyor 22. With this constitution, the lifting height H of the can body is easily adjusted.
