LOW TEMPERATURE TREATING AGENT FOR SEALING OF ANODIZED ALUMINUM FILM

PURPOSE:To provide a low-temp. treating agent for sealing of an anodized film without coloring and formation of powdery oxide films by compounding a specific amt. of a water soluble cobalt compd. with nickel fluoride or mixture composed of a fluorine compd. and nickel compd. CONSTITUTION:The low-temp. treating agent for sealing of the anodized film of an al alloy is constituted by compounding 10-40wt% water soluble cobalt compd. such as Co(CH3COO)2 or CoSO4 with the nickel fluoride or mixture composed of the fluorine compd. and nickel compd. The sealing treatment is completed at a low temp. of about 20-40 deg.C by such treating agent. The green coloring of the anodized Al film and the formation of the powdery oxide films are decreased. The range of the low-temp. treatment conditions for sealing is made wider if about 1-5% agent for preventing the formation of the powdery oxide films such as oxalic acid or malic acid is compounded with the above- mentioned treating agent according to need.
