PURPOSE:To make smooth thread take-up from a cocoon possible without end breakage by reducing the number of revolutions of a spindle for rotating an inclined bobbin in proportion to decrease in a measured distance between a thread take-up position on a package surface and a sensor. CONSTITUTION:In taking-up a thread Y on an inclined bobbin 2 having an inclination of 0.5-5.0, the number of revolutions of a spindle 23 is reduced in proportion to decrease in a measured distance M between a thread take-up position on the surface of a package 1, which is changed by the movement of a traverse guide 15, and an optical sensor 18 fixed to a traverse guide rail 17 to always take up the thread at a constant taking-up speed. In addition to that, a constant speed rotating feed roller 14 feeds the thread at constant speed to the inclined bobbin 2, and presses a roller bell 16 on the surface of a yarn layer applying a fixed constant pressure to raise take-up hardness as high as possible. Consequently, a thread feeding package for a double twister which has large take-up capacity, a small lease angle, and the very excellent-property of thread take-up from a cocoon can be produced.
