PURPOSE:To obtain the titled novel polymer clearly and densely colored by N-metallization of specific wholly aromatic polyamide(s) followed by reaction with reactive dye(s) carrying as reactive group monochloro-s-triazyl group etc. to link the dye molecule through covalent bond. CONSTITUTION:The objective polymer can be obtained by N-metallization of wholly aromatic polyamide(s) of formula -NHAr1NHCOAr2CO-(Ar1 and Ar2 are each divalent aromatic group) and/or of formula -NHAr3CO-(Ar3 is divalent aromatic group) followed by reaction with at least one kind of reactive dye carrying as reactive group, e.g. monochloro-s-triazyl group, dichlorotriazyl group, trichloropyrimidine, dichloroquinoxaline group, dichloropyridazone group.
