THERMAL CRACKING OF PETROLEUM BASED HEAVY OIL USING HIGH AROMATIC TAR

摘要

PURPOSE:To efficiently carry out thermal cracking while preventing coking trouble and obtain pitch having a high softening point and cracked oil in high yield at the same time, by thermally cracking petroleum based heavy oil, blending the resultant pitch with an aromatic tar and further carrying out thermal cracking. CONSTITUTION:Petroleum based heavy oil is thermally cracked to give pitch with 50-150 deg.C softening point and >=10wt% content of components insoluble in quinoline. 100pts.wt. resultant pitch is then blended with 10-50pts.wt. aromatic tar with >=0.6 aromatic index and <=1.0wt% content of components insoluble in quinoline obtained by further thermally cracking a heavy fraction of a cracking distillate oil prepared by thermally cracking petroleum based heavy oil and further thermal cracking is carried out to afford the aimed cracked oil.
