发明名称 ABRASION RESISTANT ARTICLE HAVING TUNGSTEN CARBIDE LAYER AND ITS PRODUCTION
摘要 PURPOSE:To produce an article free from possibility for peeling of an abrasion resistant layer by forming a nickel boride layer on the surface of a metallic base material and thereafter chemically vapor-depositing a tungsten carbide layer. CONSTITUTION:After cleaning the surface of a base material 2 made of metal and performing shot blasting or the like, a nickel boride layer 3 is formed by electroless plating. Then a tungsten carbide layer 4 is deposited and formed at <=400 deg.C treatment temp. on the surface of the nickel boride layer by a chemical vapor deposition method. In this method, the hardness of the nickel boride layer 3 is about 100-300Hv in a state after plating treatment but becomes high hardness of nearly 900Hv by causing thermal curing at a time for coating the tungsten carbide layer 4. Further in an abrasion resistant article 1 having the tungsten carbide layer 4, the peeling of coating is not caused and durability is enhanced if used for a tool or the like.
