PURPOSE:To obtain a recorder capable of effectively using a transfer recording medium, by providing a recording part and a transferring part for transferring a transfer image formed by a recording part onto a recording medium, and feeding the transfer recording medium backward from the transferring part toward the recording part. CONSTITUTION:When a recording medium 6 and a rolled sheet form transfer recording medium 1 are set to a recorder and encording is conducted, the medium 1 is sequentially paid out by a feeding means 3, an image is formed thereon under supply of predetermined thermal energy and optical energy at a recording part 4, and the image is transferred onto the recording medium 6 at a transferring part. The transfer recording medium 1 fed from the recording part 4 to the transferring part 5 in an unused state after the formation of the image can be fed backward after the transfer of the image to the recording medium 6, until a trailing end part of the image comes to the position of the recording part. Accordingly, the transfer recording medium 1 can be effectively used without leaving unused parts. |
