CONTINUOUS REACTION VESSEL

PURPOSE:To decrease the carbon content of a metal or alloy and to inexpensively produce the same at a good yield by forming the titled vessel to a converter type provided with a lance for supplying gaseous oxygen and a tuyere for the lower part of the furnace to blow >=1 kinds among oxygen and nitrogen or argon and provided with a supply port and discharge port for a molten metal in the lower part. CONSTITUTION:The outside shape of the continuous reaction vessel 1 is made into the converter type. The molten iron receiving part 2 which accepts the molten metal flowing therein through a preliminary treatment furnace and the discharge port 3 for discharging the molten iron after the end of a decarbonization treatment are provided to the lower part thereof. The gaseous oxygen is supplied from the lance 5 and >=1 kinds among oxygen and nitrogen or argon are blown from the tuyere 4 in the lower part into the furnace.
