METHOD FOR TREATING DUST-CONTAINING WATER USED IN TREATMENT OF EXHAUST GAS OF SHAFT FURNACE

PURPOSE:To prevent the generation of scale, by performing flocculation and sedimentation treatment through the addition of a flocculant in a neutral region and further adding an acrylic acid/methacrylic acid copolymer. CONSTITUTION:A flocculant is added to dust-containing water obtained by the wet dust collection treatment of exhaust gas from a shaft furnace to perform flocculation and sedimentation treatment to prevent the generation of calcium carbonate type scale. Further, an acrylic acid/methacrylic acid/1-8C alkyl (meth)acrylate copolymer [the mol. ratio acrylic acid and methacrylic acid= about 1:4-4:1, the mol. ratio of the sum total of acrylic acid and methacrylic acid and 1-8C alkyl (meth)acrylate=about 2:1-200:1, average MW=about 500-15,000 is added to flocculation and sedimentation treatment water to prevent the generation of zinc type scale.
