The invention relates to a water-ballasted dam, designed for carrying out artificial water storage to be used within the hydro-technical arrangements with complex uses for irrigations, water supply, electric energy etc. According to the invention, the dam consists of three plates (3, 5 and 6) made of reinforced concrete, placed on a closed outline according to the sides of a triangle, capable to resist to outer strains by the action of its own weight, of the solid material coming from the colmation process and the inside water, which varies its volume and weight, depending on the variation of the water level in the lake, according to the principle of communicating vessels, this variability being made possible by making a system of openings (1, 2 and 4) placed either only in the upstream plate, at both the lower side and the upper side, or at the lower side of the upstream plate and at the upper side of the downstream plate. |
