PURPOSE:To prevent the occurring of a scratch at the time of loading a disk by providing an elastic body for seating a disk to project at the position higher than the disk supporting surface of a disk supporting body and be able to deform up to the same height as the above-mentioned supporting surface, at the disk supporting body. CONSTITUTION:When a central hole 5a of a disk 5 is fitted and matched to a shaft part 6 of a work holder 1 and the disk 5 is released, the disk 5 is supported at the position a little higher than a disk fitting reference surface 1a of the work holder 1 by an elastic body 2 for seating a disk. In such a condition, when a vacuum absorbing device 4 is driven, the elastic body 2 functions as a sealing member for air tight, and therefore, the disk 5 is sucked in the lower direction through an intake path 3, the disk 5 pressures and deforms the elastic body 2 in the horizontal condition and sucked and fixed on the disk fitting reference surface 1a of the work holder 1. Since the action is smooth, the surface of the disk 5 strongly collides with the disk fitting reference surface 1a and a scratch will not occur at the surface of the disk 5.
