PURPOSE:To improve the processing performance of a guest virtual computer VM at its starting time point by having the comparison of data between a state descriptor (SD) address register and an SD address field and deciding that the address conversion of an address conversion buffer succeeds only when the coincidence is obtained from said comparison through a comparison means. CONSTITUTION:An SD address is decided in terms of hardware and shows the position of the state descriptor of each guest VM. Then the SD address can be controlled at the hardware side. When an SiE instruction is executed, each field of the SD if set to the hardware resources of a CPU by the hardware. In this case, the SD address can also be controlled at the hardware side and set automatically to a register. In other words, a guest VM is executed with the execution of just a single SiE instruction in terms of software. At the same time, the information is set to the register for the discrimination of the guest VM and therefore the instruction processing performance of the VM is improved.
